Organically shaped petals form a high rim and create the feeling of movement in this beautiful handbuilt stoneware flower plate. When combined with layered reactive creams and blues that flow, pool and create patterns, this whole piece is fully brought to life. For contrast, the outer edge is decorated in a darker, brighter blue and teal combination.
When designing it, I wanted something that can multitask - whether to function as a display piece, or as a beautiful and unique addition to a special meal or dinner party. Something that grabs the attention without overwhelming the room.
