Handbuilt out of one piece of clay, the strong, invisible bond that exists between mother and child continues. Each individual has the freedom to explore, to develop, to grow into its own, unique self. And instead of these differences and distance being a negative, it makes a greater, more spectacular whole.
As I compress the clay between my fingers and cut, shave and smooth the sharp areas over a series of weeks, we are reminded yet again that the bumps and indents of real life do not destroy, but instead make us stronger.
I dedicate this piece to my mom, Anna, who is sadly not with us anymore, yet will forever be in my heart.

These pieces are sold as a set. The individual nature of it allows you the freedom to display either together, or individually. As a rather sentimental person, I also like the idea of gifting the larger / smaller piece to your mother / child - again knowing the invisible bond between mother and child will always continue, wherever the individual is located at any specific moment. ❤️
