Handbuilt in stoneware clay, this highly textured centrepiece work celebrates the power of nature around us. Inspired by water, organically shaped waves emphasise fluid, natural movement.
Glazed in natural shades of green and bronze, together with molten glass, each element of nature around us is represented. Great on its own, spectacular together.
Rounding off this piece, sticks, seeds and stones I collected over the years are imprinted into the clay during the leatherhard stage. As always, I sign my work by hand - in this case, with a porcupine quill I found when I grew up on the farm on South Africa!
