Ceramic side plate with a weathered copper reactive glaze finish

Extra texture was added by imprinting the wet clay with a hand cut wooden form I collected during travels in Asia years ago, bringing together memories and art.

During the second kiln firing, the coppery reactive glaze breaks and pools over this texture, creating an organic, weathered appearance.
