Medium sized footed bowl handbuilt in highly grogged black stoneware clay. This piece was created by a mixture of first pinching the clay and then, once the design complete, adding a thick slip of the same clay to emphasise the texture.
After the first kiln firing, it is then brushed and poured with an ancient copper glaze at different thicknesses to keep to the natural, earthy look of the African collection.
This bowl is a real multitaskers, whether used as decoration or to serve snacks. Handwashing recommended.
