A key piece in the African collection, this large, deep bowl is coil built in highly textured clay. Matte and neutrally glazed, this fits perfectly in various colour schemes. A heavy, strong piece that transports you back to nature the moment you hold it.
Due to its size and thickness of the clay, this was built by hand over a couple of weeks, then slow dried for 4 weeks before the first firing in the kiln at 1000C. After that the glazing was done, before the second firing to 1220C.
Beautiful to display, but also food safe (if you're ever very hungry!)
